Design Talk Roundtable 04 - Showrooming, Retailing and Digital Space

Michele Varian's Design Talk Roundtable no. 04 invites industry leaders Markus Schreyer of Design Hotels (our neighbors at 11 Howard) and Jean Lin of Colony, and Marie Burgos interior designer to the (round)table to discuss why – and what – independent design creatives need to know about the intersections of real estate and design. Topics will cover changes, innovation and traditionalism of brick and mortar, showrooming and retailing; how brick and mortar spaces engage with (and fuse) consumers, hospitality and community; the role of digital spaces in creating compelling brick and mortar experiences, and more.

Also, in order to demonstrate the importance of immersive experiences to engage people, Michele's husband Brad Roberts of the Crash Test Dummies will be concluding the talk by leading a brief mantra session. Click here for a preivew of Brad chanting.

Check out this feature on the Design Hotels blog for even more of a teaser!
